It´s Tuesday...i know i have been kept a bit away, but here i am for the weekly choice.

This week's choice is a mix between a more old style rock and some industrial sound... i will try hard to be different every week and i'd like to have tunes for all tastes...well kind of, since some things i will hardly play.

So here goes:

My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult - After the flesh

Rob Zombie - Pussy Liquor

Theory of a Deadman - So happy

Wolfmother - Joker and the thief

Queens of the Stone Age - Song for the dead

Ram Jam - Black Betty

Korn - Freak on a leash

Apocaliptica featuring Corey Taylor - I´m not jesus

Motorhead - Ace of spades

Ministry - Roadhouse Blues

Have fun.

Some years ago i used to follow a garage band called Plumbage. My at the time brother in law was the drummer, and i still miss the days when we wandered around for small gigs with just a bunch of mostly friends as audience. Still it was great fun, and still i think the kids were good. Today was not a particular good day for several reasons, but i came across the ex lead singer from that garage band, and as we talked i was introduced to his latest project. Still without record label, i listened to what i think is a very cool sound, and an excellent blend between music and artwork, even though there are still lots of ideas flowing around. I invite you to follow the link below and listen to some of their tracks, and make your own opinion about "Keyframe"

I thought i would embed in my weekly selection, all the videos from the chosen tunes, but i tried it, and i took the decision not to do it that way. So instead i will post the list with the links, and during the whole week you will also have the list available on the right column, and that list will link you as well to the related videos. It strikes this Kat, that this way, this blog will be less confusing to read and follow, and will still hold all the info needed for you to watch the related videos and listen to the tunes. So after all this bullshit talk here goes:

This week selection for you!

Spoon - Written in reverse

Artic Monkeys - I bet you look good on the dance floor

The Dead Weather - Treat me like your mother

Kings of Leon - My Party

Juliette and the Licks - Hot kiss

The Walkmen - The rat

The Strokes - Last Night

Bllod Red Soes - It´s getting booring by the sea

You Should Go Ahead - Rave party machine

Probot - Shake your blood

About this week selection, just a few words. Projects from multitasking guys. Jack White the versatile guy from White Stripes, The Raconteurs, the original theme from the latest Bond with Alicia Keys (go figure), joins in with his latest project The Dead Weather. Dave Grohl the former Nirvana drummer and actual leadman of the Foo Fighters, but as well a whole music man also working and making part of bands and projects such as, just to name a couple, Killing Joke and Queens of the Stone Age, is present with 2 of his craziest projects. Juliette and the Licks where he joins the always crazy and ever child Juliette Lewis (she will be sixty and still do teenage parts), and Probot another of Dave´s projects where he invites some of the crazy sacred monsters of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal (here with Lenny from Motorhead).
Last word for You Should Go Ahead (must be some nationalist thing of mine), good Portuguese sound.

Hope You have a wonderful week.

It had to be be the first. This tune has been with me for so long, as intro, as jingle, as closing, during this DJ times of mine. Not my favourite song, not by a long mile, but powerful, and full of meaning for "lil ol" me.

Brian Setzer - This cat's on a hot tin roof
